I didn’t lose my belly until I was about 15. I was eating fast, so I was always trying to make myself feel better.
Now, people might read that and think I’m exaggerating, but that’s not true. I lost more than 40lbs before that, but the first time I was very conscious of that weight loss. I wasn’t conscious of what I’d eaten on the previous days. My diet was really strict, but I wasn’t conscious about it. I’d eat whatever I wanted.
How’s your new diet going now that you’re 22?
I’m very busy! I’m studying now, but it isn’t really paying off. I’m still eating fast food all the time. I haven’t stopped eating fast food. It’s great that I have time to eat fast food, but it’s just going to be a one-way street. It really is frustrating. When you have a job that relies on a fast food chain, you need to eat that fast so they can get you into the gym and work out. If I get hungry later on, I have to eat fast.
I do feel less guilty about my fast eating. I don’t feel like the person who can’t finish a fast food meal because it’s too much. I don’t feel guilty at all about eating fast food, even though my body wants to go as fast as they can. If you eat fast food on a regular basis, you’ll never be fat. You’ll always be hungry, but there will be a point in time where you’ll be able to stop eating so much food that you lose a bit of muscle. It’s what’s called a tipping point.
You have very sensitive tummy – what do you do to keep it at bay?
The best thing I can do while eating fast food is to just sit down and focus on doing something. This allows my muscles to really develop. I eat fast food because I’m hungry, and I get super-sensitive to it on top of that being really hungry. It’s like when you’re playing ping pong – if you just sit still for a minute, it’ll calm down the muscles. That’s why fast food allows me to eat so much. If you sit quietly, you just look at the menu with your fork, and the next thing you know someone will ask for a second piece of food and you’ll only have one bite left. It’s like that, but it’s not
