I have had people tell me that my system is better suited for fat loss than their diets, but I have yet to see the dieters who will actually lose weight. I’ve talked with many, most of them very frustrated about their diets. Their diets were high in fat and low in carbs, and when they go on a diet, they get fat. Their body isn’t using fat to burn the fat to burn off the calories, it’s simply taking a break from burning carbs. Some guys lose weight on a Ketogenic diet, but they’ll be fat again within 48 hours. There is a very good reason why so many people can eat whatever they want, all at the same time, and not lose weight, and it’s because their insulin sensitivity is still high. As stated many times, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes is a result of a lack of insulin sensitivity. It doesn’t matter how much you cut the fat; if we don’t get our insulin sensitivity up we will be fat forever. So, the key is to get to where we need to be, then start eating a high ratio of carbs vs protein and we’ll start cutting the fat and we’ll eventually be back on course to losing weight.

Here are some things you can do right now to reduce your insulin sensitivity. These can be done without dieting at all (even if you stop dieting, you will still lose fat). You can also get them done at the same time if you stop eating.

Eat large amounts of protein

There are many people who can eat big meals with no problems, but if we cut back too much they get very tired after they eat and get really hungry. In fact, if that happens, I recommend you to eat something heavy in the morning. And you know what, even when we’re on a ketogenic diet, we can eat big fat meals. For example, I eat like a cow when I’m on a low fat diet! I can eat like a cow at 3AM!
