Is Iranian saffron illegal? – Saffron Crocus Bulbs

The question of what is legal and illegal is crucial. Saif al-Islam (a.k.a. Salf) was arrested in the UK after he flew into London and said he was planning an attack. The intelligence service and police then used a section of the Terrorism Act to charge him with “harassment and harassment” – a criminal offence when the person is on a British territory – and “receiving or possessing a document that contains information likely to be useful to a person committing terrorism”.

The court accepted that the allegations were “highly likely” to be true, given the fact that an alleged associate, Ali Ahmed, had said after his arrest that Salf had tried to buy the knife used in the 7/7 bombings. The charges were upheld and Salf was cleared of all charges. However, despite legal advice that “saffron is illegal”, he was arrested and charged as a foreigner.

The Home Office said it would be “wrong” to prosecute the saffron leaf because the country has “a strong tradition of freedom of religion”. This was reiterated by Salf’s lawyer, who told the trial that a person can be arrested and detained “for religious and cultural reasons”.

Salf’s lawyer said: “Salf has been arrested in this country on the suspicion of planning an attack. He will contest the lawfulness of his arrest and detention unless the home secretary overrules it by exercising her power under the Terrorism Act.”

There’s something that I found out about life after school, which was probably quite shocking to me at the time. It was the other girls in my class were starting out with careers that made a lot less sense to me than they did now. “You can’t be an accountant? I don’t know why we need an accountant. Maybe we’re not as good at it as other kids.”

That would be my first semester in college, and I was pretty much like the average freshman in my class. I thought the only major was history. I had trouble fitting in at some of my friends’ houses. I think part of what makes a good first semester is that you’re surrounded by people who are kind and interesting. You end up realizing you’re not as stupid as you thought, which makes your world-building more logical.

My first year in college ended up being really exciting and weird, which I think is partially because I didn’t know what else to do. I was in a band. I had an art class
