There’s a very good reason that the most popular film to hit screens in the last decade is a horror film; it has a low production cost and a ton of interesting ideas to boot. It’s a perfect match. Not only is it great for the horror industry, it was a hit at the box office. There’s something to be said for seeing something at the beginning of a movie that could actually be used in the sequel. The idea is a good one, in that one of the biggest things that we’re seeing on the screen now is the use of CGI. The only problem with the concept is that the movie hasn’t been greenlit yet. That doesn’t make it a bad film, it merely shows that there’s still a little bit of “unanswered questions” in how to produce movie magic. The movie might end up being great, but without the green light from the studio, things will never get that close.
