Or for a 1000 word article that has less than 200 citations? How much more do I need to charge if a more sophisticated algorithm has been applied to mine for some hidden meaning? This is the question we’re hoping to answer with this new algorithm.
The New York Times has a lot of fun with the idea of a ‘right to repair’ law for cyclists after their cyclist killed himself in 2011. I’m not sure I like the idea of bike shops or insurance companies paying to “repair” someone else’s bike. For me, my goal is to have a state or city in the United States mandate helmet laws for all cyclists. This goes a bit further than laws in places like New York and California that only mandate a helmet for kids, and more importantly, require a helmet as an entry condition to open bike locker space or to park in a garage space.

I’m also not convinced the need for liability insurance for everyone who rides a bike at all. Insurance companies already have insurance for every mode of transportation, both roadways and other public spaces. If there’s no provision for insurance in the law, how will cyclists be protected against being sued for riding bikes without a helmet?
If I’m to take the risk, what would be an effective insurance rate, and would insurance cover all other bike related costs I would have to incur even if my insurance didn’t cover them? Any other thoughts?

LAWRENCE – Texas Tech’s head football coach announced the Longhorns will wear a special helmet decal on the right side of their helmets starting in 2014.
Texas Tech is one of four programs that will be wearing a helmet decal similar to those worn by Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma this season.
“It’s kind of an honor to have an extra player on our team wearing a decal like this,” Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said. “We’ll be honoring this school as a whole, as well as honoring the players in our team’s honor. We have a lot to be proud of on defense; we haven’t done a very good job of it lately. Now all 12 of our helmets are being decal’d.”
