For sure, the Telecaster (5000) is the best guitar over 5000. There are some nice guitars in that price range, but they are pretty limited. In the meantime, the Tele is awesome, and not for a little less money.
DUBLIN — The city of Dublin was the focus of attention for its first major anti-Brexit protest in a generation on Friday as thousands of people turned up at the city’s St. Patrick’s Square to protest the UK’s exit from the European Union.
The protest was an outgrowth of last week’s demonstration called by the Dublin United Left (DUL) in remembrance of the 1916 Easter Rising, also known as the Easter Rebellion, in which Sinn Féin’s leader, Martin McGuinness, was killed.
“Many of my friends and constituents were horrified to hear that Brexit is now being called by the Tories, UKIP and the US ‘Brexit,'” said a statement by Michael Kennedy, a member of DUL’s leadership and a former local city councillor, who took part in the protest. “Some called for a more unified anti-Brexit opposition.”
The crowd assembled at 11 a.m. near Dublin Castle, an iconic landmark in one of the largest cities in Ireland with large immigrant populations, and began chanting “Shame, shame, shame,” while others carried messages of support and remembrance for the victims of the 1916 Easter Rising and for McGuinness and others who had lost their lives before the beginning of the British campaign for the country’s independence.
“Many people were deeply alarmed by the prospect of the establishment of a trade deal with the US in any form with that being the only route to the EU,” said Kennedy. “Others just felt betrayed by the UK and were worried that it was the first step towards a move towards full membership of the EU and the creation of ‘the United States of Europe.’
“For some it was a wake up call that Brexit was now inevitable and that it was now time to take concrete action. There were some who are still waiting for what happened at the referendum or if it was actually a vote for Brexit.”
During the afternoon and through the evening, protesters held a joint sit-in at the city’s city hall, with DUL members and supporters including unionists marching up and down the stairs leading into the building, chanting in Gaelic, “You will not break our hearts. You will not break our promises.”
